Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is a US public community college based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The GTCC Aviation Campus is one of the larger aviation-focused community college programmes in the United States, operating from multiple dedicated facilities adjacent to Piedmont Triad International Airport. The aviation campus has been running aviation programmes since 1970 and currently serves over 400 students daily across its three campus buildings.
GTCC's aviation programmes cover a broad range of technical and professional disciplines: Aviation Systems Technology (aircraft maintenance), Aviation Electronics (Avionics) Technology, Aviation Management, Career Pilot, Aerospace Machining, Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Manufacturing Management, Aircraft Structures Assembly and Repair, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and Aviation Manufacturing Quick Careers Programs (AMQCP) covering composite technology, structural repairs, and structures assembly.
The campus infrastructure includes 36,000 square feet of classroom and lab space at Aviation I, a 12,000-square-foot hangar connected to the airport movement area, eight aircraft and a helicopter, over 20 system trainers, and four full-motion flight simulators at the Ceasar Cone II building. The Aviation II facility houses specialised labs for avionics, sheet metal, composites, and NDT. GTCC is a training and educational institution, not a commercial supplier of aviation products or services. No GCC airport installations apply.
