What is MRO Europe?

MRO Europe is the largest commercial aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul event in Europe — a combined conference and trade exhibition organised by Aviation Week Network (Informa Markets). It covers airframe heavy maintenance, engine shop visits, component repair, rotable pooling, digital MRO records, supply chain, and leasing.

It is the European counterpart to MRO Americas and MRO Asia-Pacific, with disproportionate GCC attendance because Middle East widebody fleets route significant shop-visit and rotable demand through European MRO partners.

2026 Amsterdam edition

The 2026 show runs 27–29 October at RAI Amsterdam. The conference programme spans 27–28 October; the exhibition floor opens 28–29 October. Programming includes senior speaker tracks, supplier exhibition, and structured networking for airlines, MROs, OEMs, lessors, and component distributors.

GCC relevance is very high: Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, and Saudia teams manage third-party MRO contracts, rotable pooling, and digital fleet records with European partners — MRO Europe is the annual audit week for those relationships.

  • Airframe and line maintenance capabilities
  • Engine and APU shop visits
  • Component repair, PMA, and DER alternatives
  • Digital MRO, CAMO, and predictive maintenance
  • Rotable pooling, AOG supply, and parts distribution

Who attends

Audience mix: airlines (~30%), MROs and OEMs (~35%), suppliers and distributors (~25%), lessors and finance (~10%). Seniority skews toward VP Maintenance, procurement heads, and technical operations — qualified traffic for rotable suppliers, tool OEMs, NDT vendors, and MRO software providers.

500+ exhibitors represent the full aftermarket stack from hangar capabilities to consumables, tooling, and logistics.

GCC airline MRO strategy context

Gulf widebody growth generates sustained shop-visit demand — often contracted to European MROs with established EASA relationships. MRO Europe is where those airlines benchmark alternative providers, negotiate rotable pool terms, and evaluate digital records platforms before renewing multi-year agreements.

Jordan-based MRO (Joramco) and UAE entities (Etihad Engineering) also participate — giving GCC buyers both European and regional comparator options on one exhibition floor.

GCC MRO procurement at MRO Europe 2026

Use Amsterdam to audit European MRO rates and capabilities against in-house Gulf hangar capacity and regional partners (Joramco, Etihad Engineering). Every widebody shop visit negotiated here has downstream implications for rotable pools, AOG spares positioning into DXB/AUH/DOH, and tooling contracts.

Cross-check digital MRO and CAMO vendors on Aviation Souk — Gulf fleet growth requires scalable records platforms integrating Airbus/Boeing OEM data feeds.

  • Benchmark engine shop-visit TAT and pricing against your incumbent European MRO
  • Validate rotable pool providers on AOG performance into Gulf hubs
  • Inspect NDT and tooling vendors for line-maintenance station deployment
  • Document conference OEM announcements — they signal future part pricing and availability
